Jennifer Shyu MD, L.Ac
Vice President
Jennifer Shyu was born in Cali, Colombia, where she spent her formative years before embarking on a transformative journey that led her to Miami, Florida, twelve years ago. Driven by a passion for healing and a commitment to holistic well-being, Jennifer pursued a career in medicine, specializing in acupuncture and oriental medicine. After four years of rigorous training, she earned her board certification in acupuncture and oriental medicine, laying the foundation for her professional practice.
Eager to deepen her understanding of human health and explore integrative approaches to medicine, Jennifer pursued further education, obtaining a doctorate in functional medicine from the Academy of Functional Medicine (AMF). This comprehensive program equipped her with advanced knowledge and skills to address the root causes of illness and promote sustainable wellness.
Seeking to broaden her perspective and engage with cutting-edge research, Jennifer undertook additional studies in health and wellness at Harvard University, where she delved into the latest advancements in the field. This experience not only expanded her expertise but also reinforced her belief in the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit in achieving optimal health.
At the core of Jennifer's philosophy is the belief that true well-being originates from within. She advocates for a holistic approach to health that emphasizes the importance of lifestyle choices in fostering longevity and vitality. Through her practice, Jennifer empowers her patients to take control of their health by making informed decisions and embracing sustainable habits that nurture their overall well-being.
As a dedicated physician and advocate for integrative medicine, Jennifer Shyu continues to inspire and uplift those under her care, guiding them on a journey toward health, harmony, and fulfillment. With her unwavering commitment to holistic healing and her compassionate approach to patient care, she remains a beacon of hope and healing in the Miami community and beyond.
Love and compassion for helping others has been driving forces in her life. She has always felt a deep connection to her community and a genuine desire to contribute to the well-being of those around me. I firmly believe in the power of solidarity and that every act of kindness has the potential to transform lives.
A few years ago, I decided to take my commitment to this personal mission a step further by joining the foundation Mission of the Heart. This organization has allowed me to channel my passion for service into projects that directly impact those in greatest need. My work with the foundation is more than just a commitment; it's an extension of my belief that change begins with us, with small actions done from the heart.
Through my involvement with Mission of the Heart, I’ve learned that when we come together and work as one, we can overcome any challenge and build a better future for all. It’s an honor to be part of this incredible community of dedicated individuals, and I look forward to continuing to contribute with all my heart to this meaningful cause."
